Sivrihisar Airshow’17

When the date of September 16th, 2017 have arrived, the third of the annual Sivrihisar Airshow, in Sivrihisar International Aviation Center (Turkish: Sivrihisar Uluslararsi Havacilik Merkezi), also known as SUSHM, become the host to many acrobatic and civil pilots, as well as flocks of aviation lovers and enthusiasts.

Just like all other airshows around the world, the event can be summarized with the word “crescendo”, meaning increasing in size, volume, or intensity in Italian. The airshow started with Parachute jumping’s, model aircraft displays and small and personal shows, while the bigger, faster, and more agile aircraft were getting either prepared or was on display for publics pleasure. However, when the actual acrobatics teams started to arrive, all attention was devoted to them in an instant.

At the heart of all attractions, there was S Bach 342 of the legendary Tim Tibo, who occasionally went off the schedule to perform more flights and more smoke-drawings than he had initially planned, especially because Pitts 2B of Semin Ozturk had an Oil Leak and was forced to cut her show short.

Despite those, Beechcraft King Air 250, which was one of the biggest planes Sivrihisar have seen, several Cessna and Piper aircraft, as well as Two Pitts 2B and One S Bach 342, along with several gyrocopters, an MD500, and finally one Turkish Air Force’s T129 attack helicopter drew almost all attention.

When the shows in the air stopped, you also had the chance to entertain yourself with the multiple simulators on the ground, along with numerous different aircraft and manufacturers equipment on display.

The Sivrihisar Airshow’s are also known for their Runway-long cycling races, public flights, and ceremonies, which yielded a sweet end to such a wonderful event
